Intermediate Blacksmithing Course 29/04/2023

Developing and practicing further the skills you learned on the Introduction course, we will also be looking at more advanced techniques such as scrolling and jointing, as well as managing your own fire.
What’s included:
This time you will make a more challenging hand-forged object using the now-familiar forging techniques:
Bending
Drawing Down (reducing a section of steel to a point)
Jumping Up (increasing a section of steel)
Punching (making a hole)
Cutting (using a hot-set or chisel)
In addition to this, you will be managing your own fire, applying individuality to your work such as texturing and polishing.
As before, you will need to bring:
Enthusiasm, a sense of humour, the skills from the Intro course, a willingness to learn and some lunch. We will provide the rest!
